GPO Witness History Museum

About Project:

Built to commemorate the centenary of the 1916 Rising, the GPO Witness History Museum is built within the site of the General Post Office in O'Connell Street, Dublin.

Working on behalf of the main contractor, we looked after the compilation of the Safety File to ensure a fully comprehensive suite of O&M manuals were available in time for project handover.  The works included liaising with the sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure the documentation was both complete and accurate.  As information was received, site visits were carried out to spot check the file against the actual building.  This offered peace of mind to the end user who will rely on this information for the ongoing operation and maintenance of the building.

Our approach for this Safety File included the use of our own construction specific Digital Safety File platform which was used  as a common data environment specific to 'as built' information.  This allowed full visibility of the Safety File compilation process throughout the project and enabled interest parties to review and comment on the documentation where necessary.
